Kimberly (Franco) Gilbert lost her brother to suicide during her 22nd year of service as a Military Police Officer, so she retired early to pursue suicide prevention full-time. During her role as Suicide Prevention Program Manager for the U.S. Army Reserve, she identified a critical gap in the area of training - Military Family members did not have access to quality and informative suicide prevention training. She gathered a team, and the course was developed using evidence-based techniques. This course fills that long-standing gap and provides training for those who are in contact with the Service member the most.
Kimberly also realized the need for training within the Faith-Based organizations. The 4R for Faith course is only available in-person. If you would like to bring this class to your community, contact Kimberly at admin@1commonbond.org.
She currently conducts training for small groups, all branches of military, corporate agencies, universities, and colleges ensuring they have the skills to help make an impact in this fight against suicide.
She is a master trainer in many disciplines and has been certified as an instructor for over 21 years.
