USARC SPPM Message

Read before starting the training.

You must be registered for the 2-day command Team training to receive orders. If you did not receive confirmation from CPT Danielle Rant, CW2 Garcia, or Ms. Franco and have not been added to the Teams channel, you are NOT registered.

Do not begin the modules until the day of the course. If you have questions, email Ms. Franco at [email protected]

It is ideal to do this training face-to-face, but after COVID-19 restrictions, we learned to do things differently. This platform has been quite successful and gives the HQ an opportunity to train triple the number of commanders in the same amount of time!

Quick note. The national Suicide Prevention Hotline is now active. Simply dial 9-8-8. The old number is still operational. If you dial 800-273-8255, the call will route to the new 9-8-8 number.

Also, Fort Family is no longer active. All services that Fort Family provided are now covered by Military One Source or USAR Family Programs.

The text line is still operational Text "Hope" to 741741.

Leaders: You will receive training from the USAR Suicide Prevention Program Manager (SPPM) on this virtual platform. You will get a lot of information in a short time, but you will still have an increased knowledge when you complete this course.

Follow up by speaking with your command SPPM about what you have learned and get additional guidance from them.

Train as you fight! In reality, your interventions will likely take place on a phone call, so this is your chance to train up in the same manner - not in a stuffy classroom or falling asleep to Powerpoint.

The course uses modules and vignettes to help in your learning and keep you focused. If you need a refresher, you have open access to the course content.

If you have any questions, you may contact the USAR POC below.
